The PuroAE™ Plasmid MAXIprep Plus Kit offers a straightforward, easy-to-use workflow for the large-scale extraction and purification of plasmid DNA. Purification relies on the binding of plasmid DNA to an anion-exchange membrane, which efficiently separates it from genomic DNA, protein, salt, and other contaminants.
Compared with traditional nucleic acid purification methods such as phenol-chloroform extraction, anion-exchange columns provide a simpler and safer alternative.
Together with the optimized PuroAE™ buffer formulations, this workflow yields highly purified plasmid DNA suitable for demanding downstream applications, including transfection, enzymatic digestion, and PCR.
