PuroMAG™ Plasmid MAXIprep Kit

The PuroMAG™ Plasmid MAXIprep Kit is a magnetic bead plasmid maxiprep kit that provides a simple, easy-to-use method for extracting and purifying plasmid DNA from cultured bacterial cells using silica-coated magnetic beads. It can extract up to 500 µg of plasmid DNA from 300 mL of overnight bacterial culture.
Plasmid DNA binds to silica-coated magnetic beads, allowing efficient removal of genomic DNA, protein, salt and other contaminants. Silica-coated magnetic beads provide the fastest and simplest method for MAXI-scale plasmid extraction compared with gravity-flow ion-exchange or silica spin column kits. With short 2-minute magnetic separation steps, the protocol can be completed in under 30 minutes, and all bead binding and washing steps are performed on a magnetic rack without centrifugation.
