PuroMAG™ Tosyl Activated magnetic beads are designed for a simple single-step conjugation of antibodies, proteins, glycoproteins and peptides through their primary amine (-NH2) or sulfhydryl (-SH) groups.
PuroMAG™ Tosyl Activated magnetic beads are excellent for isolating proteins thanks to their optimal size and surface chemistry. Various ligands that have amino or sulfhydryl groups, such as antibodies, proteins, peptides, or glycoproteins can be easily conjugated to the beads in a simple 1-step reaction. These versatile beads are also great for separating cells and bacteria, use in rapid immunoassays, molecular applications, or screening phage display libraries. For effective immunomagnetic separation, the specificity and avidity of your antibody or protein ligand are crucial. Simply couple your target-specific ligand to the beads, add them to your sample, incubate briefly for binding, and then use a magnet to separate your target. You can either elute the captured proteins for further analysis or load them directly onto electrophoresis gels.
Strong magnetic core allows PuroMAG™ Magnetic Beads to be separated out of solution with magnets in under 30 seconds. This allows for easy processing with magnetic racks, removing the need for a centrifuge.
PuroMAG™ Magnetic Bead technology can also be used with automated extraction systems for high throughput nucleic acid purification.
