PuroMAG™ Protein A Coated Magnetic Beads

PuroMAG™ Protein A Coated Magnetic Beads are protein A magnetic beads for efficient capture of IgG and other antibodies from serum, cells and other biological samples. Protein A-coupled PuroMAG superparamagnetic beads capture a wide range of immunoglobulins; Protein A shows varying affinity for Igs from different species and for different isotypes within a species (see the binding table in the info section).
How it works
The sample containing Igs is mixed with PuroMAG Protein A coated beads. During a 30-minute incubation, the Igs bind to the PuroMAG-PRA beads via their Fc region. Samples are then placed on a magnetic rack for pull-down and washing, producing a purified complex of antibodies bound to Protein A beads. Bound antibodies can be covalently cross-linked to the bead-immobilized Protein A for a very stable bead-antibody complex for further antigen capture experiments.
A strong magnetic core lets PuroMAG™ beads be separated from solution with a magnet in under 30 seconds, enabling easy processing on magnetic racks without a centrifuge. PuroMAG™ magnetic bead technology can also be used with automated extraction systems for high-throughput nucleic acid purification.
