Terrific Broth (TB)

Terrific Broth (TB) is used for the cultivation of bacterial cultures in molecular biology.  experiments. Tryptone and Yeast Extract provide nitrogen sources, vitamins and growth factors. Phosphates maintains balanced osmotic pressure.. TB medium is particularly suitable for high-density fermentation and high-level recombinant protein production.

Preparation: 
 
Suspend 50.9g in 1 L of purified water. Heat with frequent agitation and boil to completely dissolve the powder, add 4ml of glycerol. Autoclave at 121 ℃ for 20 minutes
