PuroScript™ RT First Strand cDNA Synthesis Kit With RNase Inhibitor
The PuroScript™ RT First Strand cDNA Synthesis Kit is a first strand cDNA synthesis kit that uses a modified mutant reverse transcriptase to efficiently synthesize first-strand cDNA from total RNA or mRNA templates. It includes all the reagents needed to generate high-quality cDNA, plus RNase Inhibitor to protect RNA integrity during the reaction.
Enzyme
PuroScript RT is a mutant reverse transcriptase derived from M-MLV through in vitro evolutionary screening. It lacks RNase H activity, preventing RNA degradation in the RNA/DNA hybrid during cDNA synthesis and so maximizing cDNA yield and length. Compared with the wild-type enzyme, PuroScript RT shows improved thermal stability and cDNA synthesis efficiency. It synthesizes cDNA efficiently at 42–65 °C, with reverse transcription possible in as little as 5 minutes, making it particularly suitable for RNA templates with complex secondary structures.

Store at -20 °C; valid for 12 months. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
