T4 DNA Ligase, 500U (5U/µL) / 100,000 end ligation units
T4 DNA Ligase catalyzes the formation of phosphodiester bonds between adjacent 5′ phosphate and 3′ hydroxyl termini in duplex DNA or RNA. It efficiently joins both blunt and cohesive ends, and is capable of sealing single-stranded nicks in double-stranded DNA and DNA/RNA hybrids.
Product Content:
- T4 DNA Ligase - 2 x 50 µL
- 5x T4 DNA Ligase Buffer - 2 x 1 mL
Definition of Activity Unit: One Weiss unit of the enzyme catalyzes the conversion of 1 nmol of [32PPi] into ATP in 20 min at 37°C. One Weiss unit is equivalent to approximately 200 cohesive end ligation units (CEU).
