Mycoplasma Detection Kit, Bioluminescent ADP-to-ATP, 20 Tests
A bioluminescent kit that detects mycoplasma through its ADP-to-ATP conversion activity, read on a luminometer. Each kit covers 20 tests.
How it works
Mycoplasma carry enzymes that convert ADP into ATP. The assay measures this activity with a luciferase reaction that gives off light in proportion to the ATP present. Comparing the luminescence before and after adding the substrate reagent shows whether mycoplasma enzyme activity is present in the culture sample.
Key features
- Bioluminescent ADP-to-ATP method
- Reagent A and Reagent B, 1 mL each
- 20 tests per kit
How to use
- Collect cell culture supernatant and clear it of cells.
- Add Reagent A to the sample and read the luminescence.
- Add Reagent B, read again, and compare the two readings.
