SweTransRNA Transfection Reagent
A lipid-based reagent for delivering siRNA and miRNA into cultured cells. The 0.5 mL pack is used at 2 to 4 µL per well of a 12-well plate.
How it works
Small RNAs such as siRNA and miRNA are negatively charged and cannot cross the cell membrane on their own. Lipid-based reagents wrap the RNA in lipid complexes that fuse with or are taken up by the cell membrane, releasing the RNA into the cytoplasm where it can silence or regulate its target genes.
Key features
- Lipid-type formulation
- 2 to 4 µL per well of a 12-well plate
- 0.5 mL pack
How to use
- Dilute your siRNA or miRNA in serum-free medium.
- Add the reagent at 2 to 4 µL per 12-well well, mix, and leave the complexes to form.
- Add the mixture to the cells and assay knockdown or expression after the time your experiment needs.
