Dual-Lumi Dual-Luciferase Reporter Gene Assay Kit
A sequential dual-luciferase reporter kit that reads firefly luciferase first and Renilla luciferase second from the same lysate. Each kit covers 100 tests.
How it works
In a dual-reporter assay, one luciferase reports on your promoter or pathway of interest and the other, expressed from a control vector, normalises for transfection efficiency and cell number. Firefly luciferase is measured first, then a second reagent quenches that signal and starts the Renilla reaction, so both readings come from one sample.
Key features
- Sequential firefly then Renilla measurement
- Per test: 20 µL lysate, 100 µL firefly reagent, 100 µL Renilla reagent
- Lysis buffer 50 mL, two 10 mL reaction buffers and two 200 µL 50X substrates
- 100 tests per kit
How to use
- Lyse transfected cells with the lysis buffer.
- Add the firefly reagent to 20 µL of lysate and read the luminescence.
- Add the Renilla reagent to the same well and read again, then normalise firefly to Renilla.
