Mono-Lumi Renilla Luciferase Reporter Gene Assay Kit
A Renilla luciferase reporter kit for measuring reporter activity in transfected cells, including its use as an internal control. Each kit covers 100 tests.
How it works
Renilla luciferase is a reporter enzyme that produces light from its own substrate. Because it is a different enzyme from firefly luciferase, it is often expressed from a control vector alongside a firefly reporter to normalise for transfection efficiency, and it can also be used on its own as the main reporter.
Key features
- Per test: 20 µL lysate and 100 µL working solution
- Lysis buffer 50 mL, substrate (50X) 200 µL and buffer 10 mL
- 100 tests per kit
How to use
- Lyse transfected cells with the lysis buffer.
- Mix the substrate with the buffer to make the working solution.
- Add 100 µL of working solution to 20 µL of lysate and read the luminescence.
