EdU (5-Ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine) Powder, CAS 61135-33-9
EdU (5-ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine) supplied as a powder, so you can prepare your own stock solution. It is used to label cells that are making new DNA.
How it works
EdU is a thymidine analogue. Proliferating cells build it into their DNA during replication, and it can then be detected by a click reaction with a fluorescent azide. Because detection does not need DNA denaturation, EdU labelling is gentle on cell structure and compatible with other stains.
Key features
- Powder format, dissolved to your own stock concentration
- CAS 61135-33-9
